NEWS FROM NOWHERE

M&J "Imagination and desire towards the future are always connected to the present. The title of the project »News from Nowhere« is borrowed from a novel written by William Morris, a nineteenth-century British designer and social activist. By depicting the future of the United Kingdom, he expressed the contradictions between the class society of the time and the nobility of labor. As seen in Morris's novel, reflecting on the present through the future enables one to predict the future through the present.

Die Installation des koreanischen Künstlerduos MOON Kyungwon & JEON Joonho geht von einer postapokalyptischen Welt aus, in der die Menschheit nahezu eliminiert wurde und gezwungenermassen alle bis dato gültigen Überzeugungen der Zivilisation auf Hinfälligkeit und Ungültigkeit prüfen muss.
